CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT KELLY W. EZELL

Chief Master Sergeant Kelly W. Ezell is a member of the Mississippi Air National Guard assigned to the 186th Medical Group, 186th Air Refueling Wing, Key Field ANGB, Meridian, Mississippi, serving as the Bio- Environmental Engineering Superintendent. In this role, he advises and assists commanders, supervisors, and co-workers. Expertise in occupational health, training, and industrial hygiene support is provided in related matters which protects the overall health and wellness of assigned personnel. Both military and civilian personnel perform industrial and military specific duties daily, while meeting Air Force specific, State and / or Federally mandated programs; consisting of items such as OSHA compliance, and / or other quality management tasks. Additionally, he serves as a representative for the Medical Group Commander, which encompasses many additional duty managerial roles within the organization that ensures leadership goals and operational requirements for the Medical Group and Wing succeed.

A native of Mississippi, Chief Master Sergeant Ezell entered the Air Force in April 1990. Upon graduating Basic Military Training School at Lackland AFB, Texas, he was assigned to the 186th Mission Support Group’s Consolidated Base Personnel Office; as a member of the Mississippi Air National Guard, where he served as a personnel specialist. Sergeant Ezell has served in multiple career fields supporting a plethora of deployment operations since his initial enlistment. In 2001 he accepted a full time position as a Public Health Technician with the 186th Medical Squadron, where he oversaw the occupational health and deployment medicine programs for six years. In January 2007, he cross-trained to the Bioenvironmental Engineering career field and was hired as the Non Commissioned officer in charge of the Bioenvironmental Engineering section. In April 2016, CMSgt Ezell deployed in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel where he served as the Aero-Medical Dental Flight Chief. Since his return he has been instrumental in daily operations of the 186th Medical Group and Air Refueling Wing. CMSgt Ezell continued his formal civilian education and was conferred a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health through Columbia Southern University in June 2019. In October 2021 Chief Ezell was assigned as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 186 Medical Group where he is a full-time Active Guard Reserve member of the 186th MDG at Key Field ANGB, Meridian, Mississippi. Chief Ezell resides in Meridian, Mississippi with his two children (Steven and Bryce), where they like to travel, are avid movie goers, and enjoy spending time outdoors (fishing, biking, and participating in various shooting sports and related activities).
