Colonel Douglas Manley

Col. Douglas L. Manley is the Commander of the 186th Maintenance Group,
Key Field Air National Guard Base, Meridian, Ms. Col Manley entered
Military service in 1996 as a Drill Status Guardsman assigned to the 186
Maintenance Squadron serving nearly five years as an Aircraft Maintenance
Craftsman. In 2001, Lt Col Manley graduated from The University of
Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor of Science in Coaching and Sports
Administration. In April 2002 he was commissioned through the Academy
of Military Science Magee-Tyson, ANGB Knoxville, TN. Later that same year
he would begin Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin,
AFB, Del Rio, TX.


March 2004 through May of 2013, he was assigned to the 186th Operations
Group, 153rd Air Refueling Squadron piloting the KC-135R. While serving in
the 153rd Air Refueling Squadron, Col Manley was qualified as an
Instructor/Evaluator Pilot in the KC-135R, C-27J, and the MC-12W. Col
Manley has served in multiple weapons systems in support of contingency
operations around the world including Allied Force, Enduring Freedom,
Iraqi Freedom, Inherent Resolve, and Freedom’s Sentinel.


In 2013 he was assigned to the 186th Operations Group serving as Chief, Aircrew Standards and
Evaluations for KC-135R and Director of Operations. March 2018, Col Manley would assume Command
of the 186th Operations Support Squadron where he led a team of highly motivated Airman through
four deployments, two in support of Contingency operations from 2018-2022 as he took command of
the 186th Maintenance Group.
