Chief Master Sergeant Christopher Guyse

Chief Master Sgt. Christopher L. Guyse is the Senior Enlisted Leader, 186th Air Operations Group, Key Field Air National Guard Base, Meridian, Mississippi.  The 186th AOG directly supports the Continental United States North American Aerospace Defense Region, First Air Force and Air Forces Northern, CONR - 1 AF (AFNORTH), Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.  Chief Guyse’s subject matter expertise contributes to the 186th AOG which provides a mission ready Air National Guard augmentation force to CONR-1 AF (AFNORTH) in their role as the Air Component to US NORTHERN COMMAND and NORAD to organize, equip, and operate Air Force support of homeland defense, homeland security, and defense support to civil authorities.

 

Chief Guyse has served in the Mississippi Air National Guard for 34 years. In 1989, the chief joined the Mississippi Air National Guard’s 186th Tactical Reconnaissance Group, Key Field ANGB, Meridian, Mississippi, where he served as a munitions systems craftsman until June 1992.  During the unit’s conversion to the 186th Air Refueling Wing, Chief Guyse retrained as an aircraft maintenance craftsman where he served various roles as primary crew chief, quality assurance specialist, weight and balance technician, and base technical order distribution office. During the realignment of the 186th Air Refueling Wing in 2010, Chief Guyse accepted a position with the 286th Air Mobility Operations Squadron and served as Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent.  In April 2017, Chief Guyse was selected as the Superintendent of A3 Operations Directorate, 186th Air Component Operations Squadron. In February 2023, Chief Guyse was selected as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 186th Air Operations Group.

 

Prior to assuming his current position, the chief was the Senior Enlisted Manager of the A3 Staff, 186th Air Component Operations Group, Key Field Air National Guard Base, Meridian, Mississippi.
