Brig. Gen. Augustus L. Collins takes command of the Mississippi National Guard.
The Mississippi National Guard's new Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. Augustus L. Collins speaks to the crowd after being introduced by Governor Phil Bryant as the state's new military leader. Collins has had numerous staff and command positions during his military career and commanded the State's 155th Brigade Combat Team during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. Collins took command of the state's Air and Army National Guard on January 11, 2012.
